Police officers in Greenock, Scotland have arrested a railway worker after discovering thousands of pounds’ worth of stashed in the van he uses for work, according to an article in the Greenock Telegraph.
The suspect, identified as local man George McNeill, has readily confessed to owning to the cannabis stash, which reportedly has a street value of 3,600 pounds. The 49-year-old McNeill works for Network Rail, which owns the van in which the drugs were found in after a raid on the railway worker’s home.
Aside from the drugs in work van, police also found 3,000 pounds in cash in the suspect’s bedroom.
McNeill will likely be sent to jail for the drug offences, says Greenock Sheriff Derek Hamilton.
