A report by Renee Viellaris for The Courier Mail reveals how Mexican drug lords are eyeing Australia to further expand their already massive drug empire.
Encouraged by high demand for drugs in Australia
According to Justice Minister Michael Keenan, the Mexican drug lords are encouraged by the high demand for drugs in Australia, and the willingness of drug users to pay top dollar for ice and other illicit substances. This information stems from the regular meetings Commonwealth law enforcement agencies are having with Mexican officials, sharing intelligence that would help stem the flow of drugs from Mexico to Australia.

It’s great that Commonwealth agencies are working with Mexican officials on this matter, and we can only hope that such cooperation will bear fruit in the future and hold off the Mexican drug menace for good.
