After a thorough investigation, aerospace giant Boeing has decided to terminate the employment of four employees accused of selling and using drugs in the workplace, says a report by Dominic Gates for The Seattle Times.
The four employees all worked at Boeing’s Everett, Seattle site, which has nearly 40,000 workers.
According to Boeing spokesman Doug Alder, the results of the investigation have already been turned over to the police, and Everett police are now following up on the information provided by Boeing.
In an effort to reiterate the company’s alcohol and drugs policy, Boeing management will conduct briefings that are also meant to inform employees about available resources that can help anyone with substance abuse issues.
